ALBUQUERQUE, N. M.  – The Nevada Wolf Pack finished day one of the Mountain West Championships today, with sophomore
Nicola Ader setting three personal records in the pentathlon. Ader won the event at last year's Mountain West Championships.

Sophomore
Nicola Ader opened up the pentathlon with a new personal record in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing in 8.67 seconds to take second in the event and earn 980 points. The finish put her in seventh all-time at Nevada.
Â
The native of Affolterbach, Germany followed the performance by setting another personal record, this time in the high jump. Ader topped the event with a height of 5' 10.50" (1.79 m). The height pushed her into the lead of the pentathlon, and out of a tie for fourth all-time at Nevada in the high jump.
Â
Ader then secured a third and final personal record on the day, with a distance of 36' 9.50" (11.21 m) to take fifth in the event. The record would allow her to stay in first place in the pentathlon.
Â
In the long jump, Ader recorded a season-high distance of 19' 1.25" (5.82 m) to win the event. The jump was just 1.25" short of tying her personal record. During the event, Ader sustained an injury and would not be able to run in the 800m. Ader's final score of 3,350 was good for 11th.
In the distance medley relay, Nevada's team of freshman
Mikayla Shults, seniors
Zanae Jones and
Lindsey Sickler, and sophomore
Eliza McCall finished fifth with a time of 11:47.03. The time gave the Wolf Pack four team points.
The Wolf Pack is back in action tomorrow with the field events beginning at 12 p.m. PST with the long jump. Live results will be available at nevadawolfpack.com/tf, and a live stream will be available via FloTrack.
