RENO, Nev. – Senior guard Nizré Zouzoua has been named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the week after helping Nevada to a pair of victories that extended the team's win streak to five games. The Brockton, Mass. native averaged 12 points and 3.5 rebounds in the two wins.
In the 98-67 home victory over Santa Clara he scored 12 points. Zouzoua made three of his five attempted 3-pointers and three-of-four free throws.
At Air Force he netted 12 points making three-of-five shots from the field and five-of-six at the free throw line. He also grabbed five rebounds.
In the two games he shot 46.3 (6-of-13) percent from the field and 50 (4-of-8) percent from behind the arc. At the free throw line he made eight-of-10.
On the season he is fourth on the team scoring 10.7 points per game. In five of the last six game he has scored in double figures and six times on the season. His Nevada career-high 16 points came at home against UT Arlington.
