RENO, Nev. – The Nevada women's basketball team will open Mountain West action this Saturday, Dec. 7 as it hosts Air Force at 2 p.m. at the Virginia Street Gym.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series between Air Force and Nevada is becoming more rich as the years move along. The series is up to 18 games now, with the Wolf Pack holding the advantage, 14-4. Nevada enters this weekend's contest having won four of its last five over the Falcons. These two teams split the season series last year, each winning in their home city.

VIRGINIA STREET GYM
The Virginia Street Gym, located in the heart of the University of Nevada campus, is the home of the Wolf Pack volleyball team. The 1,800 seat facility has seen major renovations and improvements over the last five years including a name change prior to the 2001 season. The previously named Old Gym took its new moniker from the street that runs along the westside of the facility and through the heart of the "Biggest Little City". Formerly used as an all-sport venue, the Virginia Street Gym became the sole playing venue for the volleyball program in 1994. Most recently, the Wolf Pack men's basketball team played an exhibition game in the Virginia Street Gym two years ago.
