FRESNO, Calif. – On a chilly Thursday night in Fresno, Nevada (3-11, 2-5 MW) dropped a conference battle against Fresno State (8-4-2, 4-2-1 MW) by a score of 2-0. The Pack totaled six shots on the night, with half of them going on goal.
Nevada's next contest will be this Sunday against San Jose State at 12 p.m. The match will be livestreamed on the Mountain West Network.
The first half was tightly contested up until the 41st minute, when a chip shot sailed into the Nevada goal for a 1-0 halftime lead for the Bulldogs. Nevada had a couple opportunities to match the Bulldog goal in the first half thanks to
Gabby Brown's shots on goal, but could not capitalize.
Goalkeeper
Kendal Stovall kept Nevada in the match in the second half, totaling four saves and three in the final 45 minutes. A goal in the 90th minute by the Bulldogs sealed a 2-0 victory for Fresno.
The Pack will aim for its third MW victory this Sunday against the Spartans for its penultimate road conference match of the season.
