SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A defensive struggle between Nevada (3-3-2) and Utah (3-4-1) ended with the Wolf Pack falling to the Utes 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. Nevada will now begin Mountain West play, beginning with a road contest this Friday against Boise State.

Kendal Stovall tied her career-high with six saves on the afternoon.
The first half of the contest featured no goals scored, as the Pack recorded two shots. It finished the afternoon on four, but could not put any on goal.

Casey Crawford each recorded shots in Salt Lake City.
Utah scored the lone goal of the game in the 49th minute, when Hailey Skolmoski got one past Stovall for her only goal allowed for the day.
After finishing its nonconference schedule 3-3-2, Nevada is now ready to begin conference play. Its first four contests will be on the road before returning home to face San Jose State on Oct. 5.
