STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of Nevada (5-6) baseball team dropped a nonconference game at Pacific (6-8) in extra innings 10-9 on Tuesday night at Klein Family Field. The loss leaves the Wolf Pack 5-6 on the season while the Tigers improved to 6-8.
Nevada (2-1 MW) hosts San Jose State (6-6, 0-2 MW) in its home opener this weekend at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park for a three-game Mountain West series. All three games of the series are scheduled for 1 p.m. starts.

Grant Fennell and Michael Echavia. In the top of the 11
th the Pack sent seven players to the plate and the first three scored to give Nevada a 9-6 lead. Shrum and
Weston Hatten had RBI hits in the inning.
Pacific scored four times in the bottom of the 11
th to take the game 10-9. The final run was unearned scoring on a throwing error by Pack third baseman
Joshua Zamora.
Cooper Powell (1-2) was tagged with the loss allowing two runs, one earned. Tiger pitcher John Besse (1-1) picked up the win.
Shrum (2-for-4,R,3RBI) led the offense with two hits and three RBI. Fennell (2-for-3,2R) also collected two hits and scored twice.
Chase Grant (1-for-4,2RBI) drove in a pair with his two RBI double in the sixth.
