REDSHIRT SENIOR (2021) --
Named the Tony Gwynn Mountain West Player of the Year and was a First Team All-Mountain West selection … D1Baseball Second Team All-American ... ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-American ... ABCA/Rawlings West All-Region ... CoSIDA Academic All-District and First Team All-American selection ... Named Nevada’s Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year … Earned MW Player of the Week honors after the final series of the regular season when he went 12-for-15 at the plate, slugged 2.067, and collected six home runs, a double, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored … Played in 35 of Nevada’s 45 games and made 34 starts … Set single season career highs in batting average (.468), slugging percentage (.968), hits (58), home runs (15), RBI (47) and runs scored (35) … Added 15 doubles and one triple on the year … Ranked second in the nation and first in the Mountain West with his .468 batting average … Also led the conference in slugging percentage, home runs and on-base percentage (.527) … Additionally ranked in the top 10 in the league in RBI, doubles and hit by pitch … Led the nation in slugging percentage and ranked in the top 10 nationally in hits per game, home runs per game, on-base percentage and RBI per game … Was second on the team with 18 multi-hit games and led the Pack with 14 multi-RBI games … Posted a season-long hitting streak of 13 games and a season-long reached base streak of 16 games … Recorded 260 putouts and 13 assists to just one error to post a fielding percentage of .996 … Had a season-high five-hit performance where he went 5-for-5 with five RBI and two home runs, including the first grand slam of his career, during a win over San Jose State on May 28 … Posted a second five-RBI game the next day also against SJSU after going 3-for-4 at the plate with two more home runs … Hit 11 of his 15 home runs in eight of the last 11 games of the season … Letter winner ... SENIOR (2020 - Season shortened due to COVID-19) -- Started all 14 games on the year at both first base and designated hitter … Led the Wolf Pack with 13 hits, seven RBI, four doubles, four homers and seven walks … Tied a team-best three hits in one game against Hofstra (2/29) … Smacked a three-run bomb at Portland (2/16) to total three RBI, the most by a Wolf Pack player during the year … His .265 batting average ranked as the best on the team … Tallied at least one hit in 10 of 14 games and reached base in all 14 contests … Totaled a .592 slugging percentage … Totaled 77 putouts and three assists while only committing one error.

JUNIOR (2019) -- Served as one of the top power hitters in the conference in 2019, blasting 10 homers and tying the conference lead with eight in Mountain West play … His 10 homers tied for the most on the Wolf Pack … Batted .280 with seven doubles, one triple and 29 RBI … Plated a season-high four runs against San Francisco (3/26) … Blasted two homers, one of two Pack players to do so during the season in one game, against UNLV (4/18)  … In a three-game series at UNLV, hit a home run in three consecutive games … Only recorded one error all season to boast a .997 fielding percentage … Made 40 starts on the year, primarily at first base with a few at designated hitter … Tallied a season-high three hits against Saint Mary’s (3/19) … Scored 27 runs on the year … Slugged .540 on the year, good for the second-highest on the team … Went on a seven-game hit streak during the season as well as a team-high 18-game reached base streak … Tallied seven multi-RBI games and 12 multi-hit games, including 11 two-hit contests … Lettered for the third time.

SOPHOMORE (2018) -- Started 44 games for the Pack, 40 of them coming at first base … Named to the All-Mountain West tournament team after batting .333 with three runs scored, three RBIs and two home runs in two games … Batted .312 on the season, the fifth best on the team and led the Pack with 19 doubles which ranked as the 58th most in Division I … Led the Wolf Pack with a .566 slugging percentage … Ranked 24th in the country with 0.4 doubles per game … Had a career-high 32 runs scored, 54 hits, two triples, and 46 RBI … Was second on the team with seven home runs … Was hit-by-pitch a team-high 17 times, which ranked 40th in the nation … Led the Pack with 361 putouts on 375 chances … Only had one error on the season to boast a team-high .997 fielding percentage … Tied for a team-high and set a career-high with five hits and five RBIs at San Jose State (4/7) in a 10-9 Wolf Pack victory … Had 13 multiple RBI games, the second most on the team … Ended the season on a 19-game reached base streak, tied for the fourth-highest on the season for the Wolf Pack … Had 17 multiple-hit games, the fifth-most on Nevada … Helped the Pack post the 19th best team batting average in the country at .297, rank eighth in the NCAA with 2.26 doubles per game, the 35th highest scoring offense and the 22nd best slugging percentage in Division I … Named a Mountain West Scholar Athlete and Academic All-MW … Lettered for the second time.

FRESHMAN (2017) -- Appeared in 39 games for Nevada in his freshman season, starting in 29 as the designated hitter (10) and at first base (19) … Batted .317 with a .413 slugging percentage, the fourth best on the team … Had four doubles to go with two home runs on the year … Was hit by pitch 17 times, the most on the team … Recorded a career-high three RBI along with a go-ahead two-run home run in extra innings at San Diego State (4/8) … Had seven multi-hit games … Was second on the team with 180 putouts … Had an 11-game hitting streak, the second most on the team … Recorded a 29-game streak of reaching base, tied with Jordan Pearce for the most on the team … In conference play, batted .276 with six RBI and a .362 slugging percentage … Coming off the bench at Air Force (4/30), went 2-for-2 at the plate along with two RBI and two doubles … Lettered for the first time.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Lettered three years at Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, Calif. … Named first-team All- Grossmont Hills League in 2015 and 2016 … First-team all-CIF San Diego in 2016 and second-team all California selection … On the San Diego all-academic team from 2014-16 … Team was Grossmont League Champions from 2014-16 as well as 2016 CIF Baseball Champions … As a senior had a .395 batting average with four home runs and 30 RBI in 60 at bats.

PERSONAL -- Son of Les and Robin Shrum … Earned a bachelor's degree in biology with emphasis in cell and molecular biology in 2020 ... Grew up in San Diego and enjoys camping with family and wakeboarding during the summer … Cousin Trenton Brooks was a standout in the University of Nevada baseball program, playing from 2014-16 … Is the only player in Granite Hills High School history to start on two CIF championship teams … Sports hero is Dave Stewart.
