Nevada to play Texas in first round of NCAA Tournament Friday in Nashville
• Seventh seed Nevada (27-7) plays 10th seed Texas (19-14) on Friday in Nashville, Tenn. in the first round of the NCAA South Region at 1:30 p.m. PT. at Bridgestone Arena.
• The 2018 NCAA Tournament is the eighth for Nevada and second in a row.
• Nevada won outright back-to-back MW regular season championships for the first time and is just the second school in the MW to accomplish the feat joining BYU in 2007 and 2008.
• Nevada captured four of the top honors from the MW coaches with Caleb Martin earning Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors, Cody Martin Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Eric Musselman, Coach of the Year.
• Jordan Caroline has scored 20 or more points in the last five games, 6-of-7 and 7-of-9.  Caroline has three double-doubles in the last five games and five in the last nine games.
• Kendall Stephens set the MW record with 73 made 3-pointers in conference play this season and his 118 overall is a Pack record and second most in MW history behind Jimmer Fredette's (BYU)124.  Stephens is one of three players to have made five or more 3s in 12 games this season but the only one competing in the NCAA Tournament.
• Of the Pack's 2,825 points this season 60 (1,695-of-2,825) percent is from transfers Caleb Martin, Cody Martin, Kendall Stephens and Hallice Cooke. 
• The Martin twins, Caleb (19.1) and Cody (13.6) combine to average 32.7 points per game which is 38 percent of the Pack's points.  They combined for 53 at Utah State, Cody (30) and Caleb (23).  Jordan Caroline scored 20 at USU as the trio netted 73-of-93 points in the game
• Caroline has 27 career double-doubles and the Pack is 25-2 in those contests.
