SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Improving its record to 6-0 with the best start to a season under head coach Sylvain Malroux, the men's tennis team knocked off Sacramento State (0-5) on the road on Sunday afternoon. The Wolf Pack will not compete next week and won't play again until Feb. 24.

The day began with doubles play, where Nevada's Robert Margitfalvi and Jeremy Merville defeated Hermont Legaspi and Bernardo Moraes on court No. 2 to win the first match of the day. The duo has yet to lose a match this season, with two victories on each court.

The point was secured by sophomores Kostya Nesterenko and Julien Evrard on court No. 1 when they emerged victorious over Mikus Losbergs and Kasparas Zemaitelis by a score of 7-6.

Margitfalvi continued his dominant weekend by grabbing the first singles victory for the Wolf Pack on court No. 3, taking down Zemaitelis on court No. 3 by a score of 6-3, 7-5. Merville extended Nevada's lead to 3-0 by defeating Hermont Legaspi 6-4, 6-3 on court 4, improving to 4-0 this spring in singles matches.

Augustin Delahodde clinched the Pack's sixth win to start the season on court No. 6 by defeating Louis Chabut 6-1, 7-5. Delahodde leads Nevada with a 5-1 record in singles matches this spring. Evrard would grab a victory over Losbergs 6-2, 6-7, 6-2 on court No. 1 to wrap up the day and give the Pack its fifth point.

Now 25-11 in singles and 14-3 in doubles play as a team, Nevada will have a week off and not play again until it travels to Cal Poly on Feb. 24.
