RENO, Nev. – Julia Adamczyk, a freshman member of the women's swim and dive team, was named the Wolf Pack Athlete of the Week following her performance at the Boise State dual meet.
The Lublin, Poland native was the highlight of the meet for the Pack claiming three individual event wins, the only swimmer to do so. Adamczyk took first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.82 with the next swimmer finishing in 2:04.59. She also finished first in the 500 free in 5:01.81 and the 400 IM with a time of 4:28.25. Each event win collected nine points for Nevada totaling 27 earned points from the freshman alone.
Currently, Adamczyk sits in second in the Mountain West for the 200 fly and third in the 400 IM. This is her first weekly honor of the season and in her career.
