Pet donations accepted at women’s basketball game Saturday

RENO, Nev. – The Nevada women's basketball team is dedicating Saturday's game against Air Force to help pets in need in the community. Fans are asked to bring pet donations to Lawlor Events Center.
 
The Wolf Pack and Falcons tip off at 2 p.m. but collection bins will be set up an hour prior to game time. Fans can drop off their donations at any of the entrances to Lawlor Events Center. Next week the Wolf Pack women's basketball team will deliver the donations to the shelter. There will also be a few adoptable dogs on hand as well, which will be on display on the upper concourse of the arena.
 
For suggestions on what type of donations to bring, please see the list below.
 
Cat Wish List
-Toys: laser lights, bubbles, small toys in bulk
-Food: dry or canned, any name brand (no fish, please)
-Cat beds
-Non-clumping cat litter
-Small cat carriers
-Kitten milk replacer
-Feliway spray and plug-ins
 
Dog Wish List
-Toys: 6" or larger in diameter and chew resistant, XXL Kongs, Jolly Balls
-Treats: chewy and non-rawhide
-Collars, leashes and harnesses of all sizes
-Puppy milk replacer
 
General Wish List
-Bedding: towels, blankets, Kuranda beds and towers
-Carriers: plastic pet carriers
-Electronics: digital camera, iPads, laptop computers
-Cleaning: Dawn dishwashing liquid, HE liquid laundry soap, paper towels
-Kleenex tissues
-Office supplies (white copy paper and card stock, pens)
-Box truck
-Tru Catch 30LTD humane cat traps for TNR program
 
If you can't make the game on Saturday, donations can still be dropped off from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily to 2825-B Longley Lane in Reno or 549 Airport Road in Carson City.
