LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Prior to the start of the 2017 Mountain West Women's Basketball Championships, the conference announced its postseason award winners. Nevada senior Stephanie Schmid earned an honorable mention. This is the first all-conference honor for Schmid.

Schmid, who is in her second season with the Wolf Pack after transferring from Arizona Western College, is Nevada's leading scorer at 12.4 points per game. Known for her three-point shooting, Schmid is shooting 41.0 percent from beyond the arc, which ranks in the top 30 nationally. Her 64 made three-pointers are second-most in the Mountain West.

During the Pack's final home game of the season against San Jose State, Schmid poured in a career-high 32 points and tied the school record with eight three-pointers made. Schmid has also been Nevada's best free throw shooter during league play at 92.5 percent.
