FAIRFAX, Calif. - The Nevada women's golf team finds itself in a tie for 10th place after the first day of the Meadow Club Intercollegiate in the Bay Area.

Freshman Mari Nishiura continued her strong start to the spring season, firing back-to-back rounds of 74 and 75 on Monday to lead Nevada. Nishiura is in 22nd place heading into Tuesday's final round at the Meadow Club.

Jordan Keyser is two shots back of Nishiura after rounds of 76 and 75 on Monday. She's 7 over for the tournament and tied for 28th. Celyn Khoo is a shot back of Keyser after two rounds. Khoo shot 79 in the first round and then came back with a strong round of 73 in the afternoon.

Kaitlin Collom shot 76-79 and is tied for 50th with one round of play. Katy Rutherford shot 79-80 on Monday to round out the Pack contingent.

San Diego State leads the team race at 6 over, a head of BYU, Illinois, Cal and Michigan in the top five. Nevada is tied with USF and ahead of Oregon State and Colorado State heading into the final round on Tuesday.
