FRESHMAN (2016-17) – Played in all 11 events during her rookie season and set the single season program record for season scoring average at 74.20 … Shot her season-low round of 70 three different times and posted her best tournament score to par at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown where she finished at even par … Her best finish of the season was a tie for seventh which she recorded twice, at the Gold Rush and the Sacramento State Invitational … Finished the year at 68-over par throughout her 11 events … Collected team-highs in birdies (72) and pars (340) … Her 72 birdies are third-most in a single season at Nevada … Made a season-high 10 birdies in the second event of the year, the Juli Inkster Spartan Invite … Helped Nevada to a tournament win at the Fresno State Classic where she notched a top 20 finish … Posted four top 10 finishes on the year, which led the team.

HIGH SCHOOL – Attended Mililani High School in Mililani, Hawaii … Two-time Oahu Interscholastic Association High School Individual Champion … Four-time Western Division Player of the Year … In 2014 her team won the Girls OIA team championship … Recorded a top-15 finish in every high school state championship, including two top-five finishes … Qualified for U.S. Girls Junior in 2015 … Hawaii Team Member in 2014-15 Girls Junior Americas Cup … Recorded a top-5 finish at HHSAA Girls Golf State Championship … Member of her high school’s Interact Club, which focuses on service in the community … Cumulative 4.0 grade-point average through junior year and graduated as the class valedictorian with Career and Technical Education (CTE) honors.

PERSONAL – Daughter of Craig and Sharon Nishiura … Has one older brother, Scott … Intends to major in accounting … Chose Nevada because she fell in love with the campus and she loves the golf program … Lists Jordan Spieth as her sports hero … Most memorable moment of her career has been the 2015 U.S. Girls’ Junior Amateur Qualifier at the Club at Kukui’ula, her first time qualifying for a USGA event and her first time shooting in the 60s, she received medalist honors with a score of 68 … Bakes, reads, volunteers at a community junior golf program, watches movies and hangs out with friends in her spare time.
