Final Results 
SEAL BEACH, Calif. - Freshman Mari Nishiura paced the Nevada women's golf team on the final day of The Gold Rush, hosted by Long Beach State.
As a team the Wolf Pack produced its best team score of the tournament with a 303 for the final round. Nevada's three-round total of 916 (306-307-303) landed it in 10th place in the 14-team field, finishing ahead of Mountain West foe Boise State. Another conference opponent, San Jose State, dominated the field to claim the team title. The Spartans finished the event at 5-over par and won by 11 strokes over Brigham Young.
Nishiura produced one of her best rounds of the season as she tied her career low round of 70 in Tuesday's final round. She jumped 11 spots on the individual leaderboard to tie for seventh place, which is a career best finish. Nishiura made six birdies on the day en route to her 2-under score. For the event she totaled nine birdies, which was tied for seventh-most in the field.
It was a bit of a rough outing for the remainder of the Wolf Pack lineup as a 77 by sophomore Kaitlin Collom was the lowest remaining score. Collom, who was making her season debut this week, notched sole possession of 38th place. Junior Celyn Khoo finished one spot behind Collom in a tie for 39th. Freshman Katy Rutherford grabbed 65th place and junior Jordan Keyser and senior Bertille DuPont, who was playing as an individual, both tied for 68th.
Sophie Hausmann of Idaho claimed individual honors as she shot all three rounds under par, including a tournament-low 65 on Tuesday. Hausmann finished at 12-under par overall and bested the runner-up, My Leander of San Jose State, by three shots. Only three players in the field of 87 finished under par.
Nevada will return to competition on March 6-7 at the Meadow Club Invitational at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif.
