SERIES HISTORY
Nevada and San Jose State have seen quite a bit of one another over the years as Tuesday's game will mark the 46th meeting all-time. The Spartans hold a slight edge in the all-time series, 24-21, and have won the last four contests. The Wolf Pack has historically been pretty good against the Spartans in the Jane Albright era, going 8-6 in the last nine seasons. Nevada has not beaten SJSU since the 2013-14 season when the Pack won a shootout 99-95 in San Jose. The Spartans took the game earlier this season, 107-84, in San Jose.
LAST TIME OUT (L, 64-49 vs. UNLV)
• T Moe reached 100 assists for the season, a career high for her.
• T Moe was the only Nevada player to finish in double figures (13 pts).
• The Pack's 49 points were its second-lowest this season.
• Nevada outscored the Lady Rebels, 12-10, in the third.
• The Pack held its opponent to under 30 percent in the fourth.
• Nevada's bench outscored UNLV's, 13-7.
SENIOR NIGHT
Prior to tipoff between the Wolf Pack and the Spartans, the program will honor its lone senior this year, Stephanie Schmid. Schmid is in her second year with the program after transferring from Arizona Western College. In just two seasons Schmid has tallied nearly 700 points.
HOLY SCHMID
Nevada's lone senior, Stephanie Schmid, had one heck of a fourth quarter in the win over San Diego State. Schmid scored 23 of her 29 points in the final 10 minutes, outscoring the entire Aztecs team in that period. The Illinois native hit 9-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc. Schmid also was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. She has only missed three free throws in Mountain West play, going 33-of-36 from the charity stripe. Additionally her 40.6 percent success rate from three-point range is 35th-best nationally.
CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
Senior Stephanie Schmid and junior T Moe have quietly been moving up the Nevada record book this season. Moe, who ranks 58th in the nation in free throw percentage, is now fourth all-time at Nevada with 308 free throws made. Schmid on the other hand has made 116 three-pointers in her short time with the Wolf Pack, which breaks her into the top 10. Schmid needs nine more to pass Dellena Criner for eighth.
BLOCK PARTY
Sophomore AJ Cephas has established herself as one of the top shot blockers in the Mountain West. Nevada as a team is also one of the shot blocking teams in the league. The Wolf Pack ranks 54th in the nation with 4.5 blocks per game thanks in large part to Cephas' play. Cephas' 1.74 blocks per game ranks third in the conference. After she recorded five blocks at UNLV she broke into the top 10 in career blocks at Nevada. She needs eight blocks to pass Jelena Zrnic for eighth. Additionally with three more blocks she will also pass Zrnic for fourth in single season blocks.
BRIGGS BREAKING OUT
Sophomore Terae Briggs shot out of a cannon during the team's game against Fresno State. Briggs scored a career-best 22 points, the first 20-point game of her career, and added 11 rebounds to post her third double-double of the season. Briggs, who normally shot under 50 percent from the free throw line, connected on 10-of-11 from the charity stripe. She ranks ninth in the MW in rebounding (7.4 rpg) and is fourth in offensive rebounds (3.4 per game). In league play, Briggs leads the team with 7.6 rebounds per game, is second in points per game (10.5) and is third in free throw percentage (73.5 percent). She grabbed her 200th rebound of the season last Saturday.
FREE THROWS FOR T Moe
Junior guard T Moe has always been one of Nevada's most consistent shooters from the free throw line and this season is no different. After she connected on 11-of-14 from the line at Air Force, Moe's 93 made free throws through 27 games is fourth in the Mountain West. She has missed just 19 foul shots total, giving her 112 attempts on the season, which ranks fourth in the Mountain West. Moe is shooting 83.0 percent from the line, which ranks 58th in the nation.
