Box Score LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Nevada men's tennis team got the job done on the final day of the LMU Invitational, winning all three of its doubles matches to close out its fall season. The Wolf Pack finished 26-14 as a team in doubles this fall.
After dominating in doubles for the entire fall season, it was appropriate that Nevada would sweep San Diego State on the final day of the tournament. Sophomores Kostya Nesterenko and Julien Evrard defeated Arnaud Restifo and Sander Gjoels-Andersen 8-4, while teammates Peter O'Donovan and Augustin Delahodde earned their 8-3 victory over Ignacio Martinez and Jan Kirchhoff. Freshman Jeremy Merville and junior Jonathan Aremon finished the day with an 8-5 win over Rafael Gonzalez Almazan and Raul de la Torre.
Delahodde was the only member of the Pack to grab a singles victory on the final day of the LMU Invitational. The junior defeated Loyola Marymount's Ryan Brown in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
Merville finished the fall with the most singles victories on the team, posting a 10-7 record. Aremon was close behind, finishing with eight wins. Nesterenko and Evrard went 6-1 as a doubles tandem, winning their last three matches. O'Donovan and senior Robert Margitfalvi finished 5-3, including winning the Doubles A bracket at the Aggie Invitational.
The Pack will not play again until Jan. 19 when it plays at Point Loma and UC San Diego. Make sure to follow the team on Twitter to stay up to date with everything regarding the Nevada men's tennis team.
