LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Nevada men's tennis team completed the second day of the LMU Invitational on Saturday, notching three more singles victories and another doubles victory. The tournament will conclude tomorrow as well as the Wolf Pack's fall season.
The three members of the Pack who fell in singles on the first day of the tournament all grabbed victories on day two. Sophomore Kostya Nesterenko defeated San Diego State's Arnaud Resifo 6-0, 7-6 (7-2). Fellow sophomore Julien Evrard secured a comeback victory over SDSU's Sander Gjoels-Andersen by a score of 3-6, 7-6, 7-5. Freshman Jeremy Merville defeated the Aztec's Ignacio Martinez in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. SDSU won the other three singles matches, splitting the six matches played against the Wolf Pack on Saturday.
The Wolf Pack played three doubles matches against Pepperdine, winning one of them. Nesterenko and Evrard continued their big day, defeating Max Medelsohn and Dane Esses 8-4. Nevada has won three of six doubles matches during the LMU Invitational
