FRESNO, Calif. – The Nevada swimming and diving team completed the final day of the Chick-fil-A Invitational with a third place finish, scoring 654.5 points. The Wolf Pack finished the invitational behind California (1,318.5), who led the entire event, and Mountain West foe San Diego State (677).

On the day Nevada found itself placed inside the top five on seven occasions, including two second place finishes. The first top five placing came from the Pack's 400-yard medley relay team that swam the event in 3:50.66. Comprised of senior Jaeger Turner, junior Jamie Reynolds, sophomore Andressa Cholodovskis and junior Rebecca Murray, Nevada place fourth in the event.

Serving as Nevada's distance swimmer, freshman Caitlyn McHugh completed the 1,650-yard freestyle event in third with a time of 17:18.54. Senior Kate Hofmeyer finished the 200-yard backstroke in 2:02.84 to place third. She was followed by Turner, who placed fourth with a time of 2:03.02 in that same event.

Cholodovskis recorded the Pack's highest individual placing on the day, finishing the 100-yard freestyle in second with a time of 51.17. Freshman Donna dePolo swam the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:20.93, just 0.03 second shy of third place. The final top five finish on the day came courtesy of Nevada's 400-yard freestyle relay team that completed the event in 3:26.78.

Collectively, sophomore Diana Sokolowska, Murray, junior Caitlyn Richardson, and Cholodovskis led the Pack to a second place finish in the final event of the day. Nevada will be back in the pool Oct. 21 when it holds its annual Alumni Meet inside Lombardi Pool.
