SALT LAKE CITY – At the second day of the Utah Intercollegiate, several members of the Wolf Pack were victorious in their singles and doubles matches. Freshman Jeremy Merville leads the Wolf Pack with a 7-2 singles record this fall.
Merville won both his singles matches toady against opponents from Weber State in Flight B. His first victory came against Bo-Han Li 6-3, 6-4. The second came when JD Malan retired from the match.
Senior Perter O' Donovan teamed up with Merville to win their doubles match in Flight C. They took on Utah State's Slave Shainyan and Randy Cory and came out on top with a score of 6-2.
Junior Jonathan Aremon and freshman Dylan Levitt also won their doubles match in Flight D. The duo defeated Utah State's Felipe Acosta and Aditya Vashistha by a score of 6-2.
On the second day of the tournament, the Pack would play all of its singles matches against Weber State.
Aremon defeated both his challengers in Flight C Singles. The first came against Hou-En Chen 6-4, 6-1 and the second against Michiel Van Schooer 6-2,6-3.
Levitt won both his matches today in the Flight D Singles. The freshman faced Cesary Walkusz and Nick Werner, with both victories coming by retirement. Senior Robert Margitfalvi also won his singles match today 6-3, 6-1 against Weber State's Stefan Cooper.
The Pack will play one more day at the Utah Intercollegiate, with doubles play starting at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.
