POINTS, POINTS, POINTS
Nevada's offense posted 99 points during its road win over Sacramento State on Wednesday. That is the most points in a single game by the Wolf Pack since it scored 99 against San Jose State on Feb. 19, 2014. The Pack has scored 93, 72 and 99 points through three games this season. Nevada's season-high in points scored in a game last year was 71 in a win over UNLV. Nevada's 88.0 points per game average through three games is 26th-best in the nation and is second in the Mountain West behind Boise State (91.5).
HOLY SCHMID
Senior Stephanie Schmid had herself a game Wednesday night, helping to lead the Wolf Pack to a 99-95 win at Sacramento State. Schmid posted a career-high 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting, which including five three-pointers. The Illinois native scored 14 of her 32 points in the first quarter alone and had 21 points by halftime, which allowed her to best her previous career-high of 25. Schmid's 32 points are the most by a Wolf Pack player sine Tahnee Robinson scored 32 against Louisiana Tech in February of 2011. Schmid now ranks in the top 50 in the nation in three-point field goals made.
THE 500 CLUB
Junior point guard T Moe played her first set of games last weekend since the beginning of the 2014-15 season. In those two games she totaled 23 points, which gives her an even 500 for her career. Bitten by injury, the bulk of scoring during her career came during her sophomore year (2013-14) where she finished with 338. For her career she is averaging 10.3 points per game.
THREE PLEASE
Junior Halie Bergman has been on fire through the first three games of the season. In those three games Bergman is 9-of-16 from three point range, 56.3 percent shooting. That is the highest percentage on the team. Her four made three's during Sunday's win over Portland set a career-high. She reached double figures in scoring in the first two games, scoring 11 and 12 respectively. Her nine made three pointers through three games is 26th in the nation and second in the Mountain West.
FREE THROWS FOR T Moe
Junior guard T Moe has always been one of Nevada's most consistent shooters from the free throw line and this season is no different. Moe's 22 made free throws through three games is tops in the nation. She has missed just two foul shots total, giving her 24 attempts on the young season, which ranks just outside the top 10 nationally. In the season opener against Long Beach State, Moe made 13-of-15 free throws which tied her career-high.
ONLY GIRL
Sophomore Riana Everidge is playing some of the best basketball of her career through the first three games of the season. Everidge is leading the team in points per game, averaging 16.7 per game, which ranks fifth in the Mountain West. She fell just one point shy of tying her career high of 20 points at Sacramento State and is the only player on the Nevada roster to have scored in double figures in all three games.
