RENO, Nev. - The Nevada women's basketball team welcomes Chico State to Lawlor Events Center Saturday afternoon, Nov. 7, for a free exhibition contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Saturday afternoon's match up against the Wildcats will be the final game tune-up for the Wolf Pack before beginning the 2015-16 regular season next Friday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at home against San Diego.

Nevada enters Saturday's game having been picked to finish 10th in the Mountain West, but does boast a preseason award winner. Junior transfer Stephanie Schmid was tabbed as the MW Preseason Co-Newcomer of the Year and figures to be a threat from the three-point line.

Jane Albright is at the helm of the program for the eighth time and enters the season with a few milestones upcoming. Albright currently needs one win to reach 100 victories at Nevada, and is four shy of eclipsing the 500-win plateau for her 32-year coaching career.

The Wolf Pack's opponent, Chico State, finished 2014-15 with a 10-16 overall record and tied for eighth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The Wildcats' top returner is sophomore Whitney Branham, who was selected as the CCAA Freshman of the Year last season after averaging 10.0 points per game and 2.5 assists per contest.

Season tickets for women's basketball are just $60 for adults, $55 for youth (8th grade and under) and $40 for seniors (65+). A 'Family 4-Pack' is also available that includes four season tickets for just $99! Call 775.348.PACK or register online for more information.
