LOGAN, Utah - Sophomore Madison Morell tallied a team-high 12 kills and junior Sam Willoughby registered six blocks and a .467 hitting percentage in the Nevada volleyball team's 3-0 loss to Utah State on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Tessa Lea'ea put together an efficient offensive performance with a .353 attacking percentage (8-for-17) but 17 errors plagued the Wolf Pack (4-11, 1-4 MW) in the defeat.

Nevada out-blocked one of the top blocking squads in the conference in the first set but the Pack could not stop the Utah State offense as the Aggies claimed the first set 25-20.

Despite hitting .366 as a team and getting within one, 24-23, late in the second frame, the Aggies again found a way to take the second set and head into the break with a 2-0 lead. Lea'ea, Morell, freshman Madison Foley and senior Donna Greely each recorded four kills in the set. Utah State would then go on to win the third set, 25-14, to clinch the home victory.

The Pack will next be back in action at the Virginia Street Gym on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6:30 p.m. when Nevada takes on San Diego State.
