RENO, Nev. –  After a successful last day of competition at the Ed Jacoby Invitational, sophomore Emily Costello has been named Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week.

Costello had a top three finish in all three events that she competed in throughout the day. The sophomore started the day with the 60 meter dash prelims, which saw her move on to the finals with a time of 7.76. In the finals, Costello ended up getting a better time and earned a second place finish with a time of 7.70. 

The success continued when Costello competed in the 200m dash where she finished with another second place finish in the meet. Her time of 24.54 was only 0.01 off her impressive sixth place Nevada all-time placement in the event. 

Lastly, Costello joined teammates Brooke Carson, Karoline Sauer, and Agnese Mulatero in their first place finish in the 4x400 meter relay. The four Wolf Pack athletes finished with a time of 3:51.72, which was almost six seconds better than the runner-up.

Costello and the Pack will be back on the road this week when it competes in the New Mexico team open on Jan. 31 and Feb.1 in Albuquerque.
