Laura Isabel Vazquez Lopez, a sophomore member of the women's dive team, was named the Wolf Pack Athlete of the Week following her performance in the dual meet against New Mexico.

The Guadalajara, Mexico native swept her individual events winning the 1 and 3 meter diving events. Lopez won the 1-meter with a score of 308.55 and the 3-meter event with a 370.58, helping the Pack win 189-109. Her scores were the top recorded on the week throughout all Mountain West competition. 

Nevada is now 6-2 in dual meets and 4-0 in conference dual meets. Up next, the Pack prepares for the Mountain West Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. on Feb. 19-22 as it looks to improve on the second place finish in 2019.
