RENO, Nev. – Senior guard Kylie Jimenez has been selected as Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Month.
Jimenez’s 3.46 assist turnover ratio ranks fourth in NCAA Division I women’s basketball. Additionally, the Thornton, Colo., native compiled a 4.0 GPA in the Master’s of Educational Leadership program in the fall. Starting in each of Nevada’s 15 games this season, Jimenez averages 6.3 points, three assists and three rebounds per contest. Jimenez dished out a season-best 10 assists with zero turnovers while contributing three steals, three rebounds and two points against San Jose State on Dec. 31.
Jimenez has proven to be a major component in Nevada’s 11-4 overall record and 3-0 conference start, which is the Pack’s first 3-0 conference start since joining the Mountain West. Jimenez and Nevada will go for its first 4-0 start to conference play since the 2009-10 WAC campaign Wednesday, when they host San Diego State at 6:30 p.m.
