Reno, Nev - Junior middle blocker, Sydney Petersen has been named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the week after her performances in the Nevada Classic tournament. The Snohomish, Wash. native helped the Pack to a 2-0 record on the weekend. 

Petersen started all two matches of the tournament, was selected the MVP of the tournament. The junior recorded a .618 hitting percentage going 23-for-34 with 2.88 kills per set. The junior tallied a service ace and three digs along with eleven blocks combined in both matches.

Next on the schedule for the Nevada Volleyball team is the first conference match against San Diego State at the Virginia Street Gym on Sep. 23 at 6 p.m.
