High School: Played volleyball throughout all four years of high school ... Was named the team MVP in 2014 and 2015 ... Earned the Granada Award in 2012 ... Played for Red Rock in 2014-15, where she helped the team qualify for Junior Olympics ... Tallied a total of 321 kills in 86 sets played her senior year, ranking first in her league ... Was named to first team all-league her junior and senior year

Personal: Daughter of Bill and Kristina Fernandez ... Has an older brother, Vince, who plays baseball for the Rockies organization ... Enjoys hiking, sleeping and eating ... Plans to major in Biology ... Chose Nevada thanks to the campus and its proximity to home ... Was also recruited by SDSU and SSU.
