Claudia Herrero will be in her first year as an assistant coach in the 2018-19 season, but she is far from new to the team. Herrero graduated from Nevada in May of 2018, and brings a strong playing background to the coaching staff. The native of Salamanca, Spain is tied for the top singles season in Nevada history, notching 24 wins in the 2015-16 season. She’s also tied for the 10th, winning 19 last season. Overall, her 60 career victories put her at sixth all time. In 2017, she was named Mountain West Player of the Year, the first in Nevada history. She was named to the all-conference singles team three times, and the all-conference doubles team in 2018 with Blaga Delic.
