REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2018) – After being sidelined with an injury in 2017, came back and played in 15 games with 11 starts on the season … Played in 752 minutes, primarily at forward … Scored her first goal in a Wolf Pack uniform in Nevada’s 2-1 victory at UC Davis … Finished the season with seven shots and four of them going on goal … Lettered for the first time  at Nevada.

JUNIOR (2017) – Started the first two matches of her career as a member of the Wolf Pack the first two matches of the season before suffering a season-ending injury … Played 150 minutes recording two shots with one going on goal … Recorded an assist in Nevada’s win vs. Sacramento State (8/20).

PRIOR TO NEVADA - Attended Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Wash. from 2015-2016 where she was on the soccer team for two seasons … Competed in the North Division of the Northwest Athletic Conference where her team was division champions both seasons … Won the conference in 2016, which was her most memorable career achievement … Was named an all-star from 2015-16 … Ranks third all-time in career goals in school history (18), fourth all-time in points (49) and tallied the third most goals in a single season (10).

HIGH SCHOOL - Graduated from Reno High School in 2015, playing on the varsity soccer team all four seasons … Was named Offensive Player of the Year all four years … Played on the Nomads Soccer Club and ODP Nevada State team … Part of the National Honors Society.

PERSONAL - Majoring in community health science with an emphasis in kinesiology … Daughter of Bruce and Cecily Small … Has two siblings, Nick Ortega and Emelie Small … Chose Nevada because she grew up in Reno and wanted her family to be able to come watch her play … In her free time enjoys eating good food, spending time with friends and family, hiking and going to Tahoe.
