Parrissa Eyorokon Headshot

Parrissa Eyorokon

Parrissa Eyorokon enters her fifth season as an assistant coach for Nevada soccer. She previously coached at her alma mater, Purdue University, from 2012-15.

Primarily coaching the offense, Eyorokon helped freshman Gabby Brown earn All-Mountain West Newcomer honors after the season. Brown set Nevada single-season records, posting 75 shots on the year and 12 in one game.

Eyorokon saw improvement out of her offense in 2018, as freshman Payton Lieb was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week after the first two games of the season when she scored both game-winning goals. Lieb led the team with four goals on the year, while 11 different players put the ball into the back of the net.

Under Eyorokon, Nevada’s 3-0-1 start in 2018 was the second-best start in program history.

Eyorokon was a forward on Purdue’s soccer team from 2004-07. Her senior season she was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year as well as first team All-America honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Following her final season for the Boilermakers, she received her bachelor’s in sociology and minored in psychology, anthropology and english.

Post-collegiate, Eyorokon played on the U-23 Women’s National Team in 2009. This led to Eyorokon being drafted to the Washington Freedom in the Women’s Professional League where she played alongside U.S. Women’s National Team players Abby Wambach, Cat Whitehill and Ali Krieger.

In 2012, Eyorokon joined co-head coach Erin Otagaki on Purdue soccer’s coaching staff as an assistant coach.
