Ashley Hosford is a Reno/Sparks native entering her first season on the Nevada soccer coaching staff. She primarily works with the goalkeepers, as this was her position and her coaching specialty. She is currently working on her Masters of Arts in educational leadership here at the university.
Hosford graduated from Spanish Springs High School in 2004. She spent the next two years as a goalkeeper at Bellevue University in Nebraska. Upon her return in 2006, Hosford attend Nevada, receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology and human development and family studies. In addition to her studies, she served as the head JV coach and assistant varsity coach at Spanish Springs from 2006-12.
From 2014-16, Hosford was a graduate assistant at King University in Tennessee. While there she completed the coursework for her M.Ed. and was the goalkeeping coach. During this time King’s soccer team made multiple conference playoffs, including a 2015 top four finish.
In Tennessee, Hosford was also the Associate Director of Coaching and Director of Coaching, Goalkeeping for FC Dallas TRI club. She spent time as an Olympic Development Program (ODP) coach for goalkeeping and as a staff coach for the ’01 age group.
