Zavior Alvarez enters his third season with Nevada women's basketball. Entering his second season as a Player Development Specialist, Alvarez was elevated to his current role in 2023 after serving as a Graduate Assistant in his first season.
In his role, Alvarez assists with operations, practices, equipment and other necessities behind the scenes.
Prior to Nevada, Alvarez spent four years at UTEP working as an undergraduate assistant. He served as a practice player with UTEP women's basketball in 2018 before his promotion.
Alvarez was an All-City basketball player at Del Valle High School in El Paso. He later played point guard at TaylorMade Prep in Pensacola, Florida before returning to El Paso.
Alvarez graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2022 with a business degree.
