Hunter Rand enters his fourth season with the Wolf Pack women's basketball program in 2019-20.
Before joining the team, Rand was the lead cinematographer and editor at Inkblot Marketing, the internal marketing office of the Center for Student Engagement at the University of Nevada, as well as the Director of FCC Compliance at Wolf Pack Radio. At Inkblot he produced multimedia content for multiple distribution platforms and departments within the Center for Student Engagement, the student government and the division of student services.
Before coming to Nevada, Rand graduated from the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology in 2013 with a career and technical education endorsement. He also received a certificate in digital media and journalism from Truckee Meadows Community College. In 2017 he graduated from the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in studio art; one of his specializations is Bayer patterns in digital imaging sensors and errors in Bayer pattern algorithms.
In his spare time, Rand volunteers on campus with at-risk children, as well as with local Title I schools, and with children participating in the FIRST LEGO League as a mentor and former participant. He is also a dragon boat paddler, serving on various teams along the West Coast.
