NEVADA
FRESHMAN (2017-18) –
Played in 29 of Nevada’s 36 games during her rookie season, making two starts … Got her first collegiate start in the win over Santa Clara (12/16) … Logged 345 minutes on the floor, averaging 11.9 minutes per game … Scored 69 points on the year to average 2.4 points per game and grabbed 27 rebounds to average 0.9 rebounds per game … Dished out 16 assists and had 11 steals … Connected on 34.1 percent (28-of-82) of her shots from the field, 20.0 percent (5-of-25) from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from the free throw line … Scored a season-high eight points in the home win over San Jose State (1/17) where she hit two triples … Pulled down a season-best five rebounds in the Mountain West Tournament upset win over UNLV (3/6) … Letter winner.

HIGH SCHOOL – Graduate of Hanford High School in Hanford, Calif. where she set the girls basketball scoring record with 2,301 points … Won four straight West Yosemite League Championships with Hanford High … As a senior she averaged 22.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 4.6 assists per game … Earned four first team All-West Yosemite League selections and was twice named the Girls Basketball Player of the Year in 2015 and 2017 … Three-time all-state selection and earned an all-state honorable mention following her freshman year … Has played in California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sectional and divisional championships and was a member of the U.S. Junior Nationals All-Star team … Member of the Associated Student Body and served as sports commissioner for her high school.

PERSONAL – Daughter of Eva and Carlito Sumilong … Has five older siblings, sisters Maribel, Lissette, Chelsea and Chrissy and brother Jeremy … Plans to major in criminal justice and become a lawyer after college … Chose Nevada because she loves what the program stands for and thought the campus was beautiful, it felt like home … Also recruited by Dartmouth and Fresno Pacific … Lists Kobe Bryant as her sports hero … The most memorable moment of her career was breaking the scoring record because it had been set for 17 years … Played AAU for Coach Russ Davis on Cal Swish for two years and played her last season of AAU for Coach Demetrius Porter and the Fresno Lady Heat … Lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation … Enjoys reading and writing and working with kids in her spare time … Plans on eventually writing a book.
