Phil Frayssinoux

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Phil Frayssinoux first joined the Nevada men’s tennis team in 2011 as an Assistant Coach. The passion for the game and love for helping players reach their full potential led Phil to come back in the coaching staff in January 2021 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach.

"We are so fortunate to have Phil on our staff, his love for the game, and knowledge is second to none. He is a fantastic player and is able to share his experience with our team," said Nevada men’s tennis head coach Sylvain Malroux.

Phil played tennis for Mississippi State where he ranked in the top 20 nationally in singles, doubles, and with his team. After graduating in 2008, Phil played professionally on the ATP tour. He reached the 714th spot in the World one year after starting to play pro, but injuries kept him away from the courts regularly and he decided to retire in 2010.

Phil received an MBA from Nevada in 2012. He then worked for Microsoft for six years before starting his entrepreneurship journey where he opened his first company in 2016. Phil now owns six companies across different industries such as escape rooms, bar, axe throwing, and games.
