Rhonda Lundin Bennett currently serves as Nevada’s senior associate athletics director/senior woman administrator.

In her current role, Bennett oversees several Wolf Pack sports (women’s basketball, women’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis) as well as three support units (sports medicine, strength & conditioning and video). She has previously supervised a number of other sports, including football, baseball, volleyball, swimming and diving and golf. She is a member of the athletics leadership team and serves as a deputy Title IX coordinator for the University. She is also Nevada’s NCAA athletics healthcare administrator and diversity and inclusion designee. She works closely with Nevada’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and oversees the department’s community service efforts, helping the Wolf Pack to wins in the Mountain West Conference SAAC Community Service Challenge four times in six years.

Bennett is also active at the conference and national level. She is a member of the Mountain West Conference Joint Council. She served as the chair of the Mountain West Senior Woman Administrator committee in 2013-14 and completed terms on the MW Recognition, Executive, 20th Anniversary and Basketball Ad Hoc committees.

One of the greatest honors of her career came in 2014 when Bennett was named to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Sport Committee. She served on that prestigious committee from 2014-19 and again in 2021. She was elected the chair of the women’s basketball committee in 2018 and 2019. She also served as a member of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Oversight Committee and the NCAA Strategic Plan Steering Committee, helping develop the NCAA’s first strategic plan for any sport.

Bennett brings over 25 years of full-time college athletics experience to Nevada and joined the Wolf Pack staff in September of 2005. Prior to moving into sports administration in 2010, she headed up Nevada’s athletics communications efforts. She moved from assistant director to associate athletics director in five years and spent four years as the primary media relations contact for the Wolf Pack men’s basketball team, which was nationally ranked for two years, earned four postseason appearances and won four Western Athletic Conference regular-season championships.

Prior to Nevada, Lundin spent six years at Arizona State University where she was the primary media relations contact for the Sun Devils’ nationally ranked women’s basketball and women’s golf teams. She also served as the assistant contact for ASU’s nationally ranked football squad and edited the school’s award-winning football media guide.

A native of Hillsboro, Ore., Lundin also spent time at Kansas State University and the University of Minnesota in her career. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 1996, where she got her start in college athletics as a student intern in the Wildcats’ sports information office, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in management and leadership from Western Governors University.

She and her husband, Jeff, reside in Reno. Bennett has been active in the Northern Nevada community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada from 2011-16 and as a member of the Reno Junior League from 2011-13.
