FRESHMAN (2020-21) -- Did not compete in any events during his freshman season.
HIGH SCHOOL -- Attended Rock Bridge High School in Missouri where he was a three-time letterwinner in golf … Helped his team to much success including two Missouri State High School Athletics Association (MSHSAA) district championships, two MSHSAA sectional championships, and a MSHSAA state championship where his team set the state scoring record … His team also racked up 17 wins between the 2018 and 2019 season … Totaled six individual wins in his 2019 high school season, aiding in much of his team's success … Received many accolades including MSHSAA all-state honors, and was a nominee for RBHS Freshman of the Year, RBHS Athlete of the Year, RBHS Most Valuable Player, and Columbia Tribby's Athlete of the Year … Captured titles at the 2019 Columbia Classic and the 2019 Smith Cotton Golf Classic, where he shot a round of 66.
PERSONAL -- Son of Scott Minor and Amanda Minor … Has a younger sister, Siena, and a younger brother, Brett … His father, Scott, played college football at Missouri and his mother, Amanda, played small college softball … Business and finance major with a minor in political science … Would like to go into finance or become a professional golfer after college … Chose Nevada because it offers him the ability to develop his game and play against some of the best players in college golf, while also providing the opportunity to earn a degree and excel in school … Also recruited by Iowa State and Missouri … Lists Tiger Woods as his sports hero … The most memorable moment of his pre-Nevada career was winning the state championship his freshman year of high school … Enjoys hunting, fishing, working on his golf game, and playing and watching sports … Member of National Honors Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Republicans, and K-Life.
