JUNIOR (2024-25) -- Played in all ten events for the Wolf Pack in his Junior season... Best finish came at the Mountain West Championships, where he posted rounds of 73-69-72=214 (-2), to place 23rd... Placed 31st at the Leadership and Golf Collegiate with rounds of 74-73-74= 221 (+5)... Placed 42nd at the General James Hackler Championship with rounds of 74-74-72=220 (+4)... Lowest round of the year came at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational, shooting a 67 (-4) in the final round to place T76. 

Rider Career (2022-24)
Spent the first two years of his collegiate career competing for Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey … Broke 70 four times in the 23/24 season … Won the McLeod Trophy as the MAAC Individual Champion … Had a scoring average of 73.56 throughout the 23/24 season. 

PERSONAL -- Son of Tammy and Eric Ortwein … Has one older brother, Jonathan Ortwein, 24 … Golfing hero is Ben Hogan ... Majoring in Marketing and wants to be a market manager after graduation … Also recruited by Campbell, Loyola Maryland and Texas State … The most memorable moment of his golfing career was his 2023 Temple Invitational final round where he shot a 68 in the second round to finish third … Enjoys roofing with his dad, and spending time working out … Chose Nevada because of coaches Patrick and Trake and said it "seemed like the right fit."
