SENIOR (2017) – Will provide depth at the quarterback position in 2017.

JUNIOR (2016) – Did not see time in any games during his junior year … Cracked the depth chart in week 10 as the team’s third string quarterback after starting QB Tyler Stewart was sidelined for the season with an injury.

SOPHOMORE (2015) - Did not see action … Listed as Nevada’s third-string quarterback throughout the season … Member of Nevada’s 2015 Arizona Bowl victory team.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2014) - Listed as the third-string quarterback behind Cody Fajardo and Tyler Stewart throughout the season … Saw action in a victory at Hawai’i without recording any statistics.

FRESHMAN (2013) - Joined the team as a true freshman and redshirted his first season with the Wolf Pack.

HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Freedom High School in Oakley, Calif. … Graduated as the school’s all-time leader in completions, passing yards and touchdowns … Earned three varsity letters for coach Kevin Hartwig … Earned all-metro honors his final three years at Freedom HS.

PERSONAL - Born Dante Ellis Mayes … Son of Tracey and Pamela Mayes … Would like to either play in the NFL or enter the medical field when his time at Nevada is up … Majoring in public health … Enjoys going to the driving range in his spare time.
