Tevis Bartlett, who served as a defensive analyst for the Wolf Pack in 2024, begins his second season on staff in 2025, rising to assistant defensive line coach where he will work with associate head coach/interior defensive line coach Payam Saadat.
An All-Pac-12 linebacker at Washington, Bartlett has previously coached the defensive line during his time at UC Davis in 2023. With the Aggies, Bartlett helped oversee a defensive line which played a key role in holding opponents to just 108.9 rushing yards per game, a figure which ranked 16th-nationally and second in the Big Sky.
The UC Davis defense also ranked in the FCS top-20 in third-down defense (32.7 percent) and first downs allowed (188, 17th). Defensive linemen Zach Kennedy (First Team) and Chubba Ma’ae (Second Team) earned All-Big Sky honors in 2023, as Kennedy finished the season with team-bests of 4.0 sacks and 8.0 tackles-for-loss, and Ma’ae picked up a sack among his two TFL.
Prior to returning West, Bartlett one season (2022) on the Texas staff as a graduate assistant.
Bartlett was a four-year letterwinner at linebacker for Washington (2015-18), where he appeared in 52 games and was part of two Pac-12 championship teams (2016, 2018), including the 2016 Huskies squad that reached the College Football Playoff. He was named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in 2017, making 12.0 tackles-for-loss and 4.0 sacks among his 48 tackles, and intercepting a pair of passes. Over his four years in Seattle, Bartlett made 158 tackles (with a high of 73 as a senior in 2018) with 26.0 TFL and nine sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Education, Communities and Organization from Washington in 2018, then earned his Master’s degree in Education from Texas in 2023.
