A recent graduate of the University of Nevada, Makana Garrigan enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Wolf Pack.
Garrigan served as a student assistant with the Nevada football team from 2012-14. Garrigan was originally recruited to play for Nevada in 2011, but suffered from nagging injuries and was unable to play for the Pack. Eager to help the team, Garrigan remained at the University of Nevada and rejoined the program as a student assistant in 2012.
Garrigan received a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Science from Nevada in 2015.
A native of Petaluma, Calif., Garrigan was a four-year letter winner at Case Grande High School. Garrigan caught 53 passes for 776 yards and 11 touchdowns and earned co-conference player of the year honors in 2011.
