The University of Nevada is committed to a safe and efficient traffic pattern for its sporting events. Please see the linked map below as well as areas of staffing and emphasis for the 2021 football season.

2021 Event Traffic Map

N. VIRGINIA STREET

• All intersections north of Lawlor Events Center will be staffed with a combination of UNR PD, UNR Parking Services and CERT members.  Traffic westbound to these intersections will be directed northbound on N. Virginia Street.  No southbound turns on N. Virginia St will be permitted.  Traffic lights at these intersections will be transferred to flashing lights to allow for law enforcement to control the flow of traffic.
• Traffic northbound on N. Virginia St will be allowed to continue northbound, turn eastbound or westbound.
• 15th St – Westbound traffic will be allowed to continue westbound, turn northbound or southbound.  Turning options may be adjusted based on traffic flow
• Traffic exiting from Bryan Whalen Parking Garage will be directed southbound on N. Virginia St.  No northbound turns will be permitted.
• Lights southbound after 15th street will be on extended timing cycles to provide smooth flow of traffic.

EVANS AVENUE

• All major intersections (West Stadium Way, Stadium Way, Enterprise and McCarran will be staffed with a combination UNR PD, Reno PD and CERT members
• Traffic northbound on Evans at McCarren will be allowed to turn eastbound or westbound.
• Traffic eastbound on Enterprise will be allowed to continue eastbound on Enterprise to Valley Road, turn northbound or southbound on Evans Avenue.  Turning options may be adjusted based on traffic flow.
• Traffic eastbound on Stadium Way (Peccole Park) will be allowed to turn northbound or southbound on Evans Avenue.  Turning options may be adjusted based on traffic flow.
• Traffic southbound on West Stadium way will be allowed to turn northbound or southbound on Evans Avenue.  Turning options may be adjusted based on traffic flow

CAMPUS INTERIOR

• Additional resources will be stationed at major intersections located in the campus interior.  This focus will allow personnel to assist fans in the direction with the most favorable traffic flow.  Traffic flow decisions will be adjusted based on overall traffic flow to the major arteries.
