ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Nevada (3-8, MW 0-2) surrendered a two-goal halftime lead as New Mexico (5-2-2, MW 2-0) scored five unanswered goals in the second half, handing the Wolf Pack a 5-2 loss Sunday afternoon at UNM Soccer Complex.

Nevada came out with energy from the opening whistle and carried that momentum throughout the first half, building a 2-0 lead before the break.

The Wolf Pack opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Leslie Jacobo-Duran found the back of the net off an assist from Reika Yuba. Nevada continued to press forward and doubled its advantage later in the half as Olivia Loomis scored to give the Pack a 2-0 cushion.

Nevada took that two-goal lead into halftime and looked to be in control of the match heading into the final 45 minutes.

The second half brought a shift in momentum as New Mexico increased its attacking pressure. Goalkeeper Mia Collins delivered a crucial penalty-kick save to help preserve Nevada's lead, but the Lobos continued to push forward and eventually found a breakthrough. New Mexico went on to score five unanswered goals in the second half, erasing the deficit and pulling away for the 5-2 victory.
