SAN DIEGO - Petra Janigova highlighted Nevada Women's Tennis' first day at the USTA SoCal Intercollegiate Tennis Championships in San Diego.

Janigova advanced in both the singles and doubles draws, opening the day with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Olivia Allegre of UC San Diego then capturing a 6-2 doubles victory with Nikol Janickovicova over San José State's tandem of Soledad Fayos Capilla and Ana Camila Celis Avila.

Kennedy Robinson and Lucie Vagnerova picked up their first-round win in the doubles draw, defeating Grand Canyon's Claudia Sofia Martinez Solis and Beatrice Veltri, 6-3.

The two doubles tandems and Janigova will continue action Friday morning.
