RENO, Nev. - Nevada Volleyball closed out this week's home slate, losing in four sets (21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-15) to Kansas State.
Nevada played strong out of the gates rolling an early five-point run into an 11-5 lead and settling at 15-13 at the media timeout. Six set one kills from
Paige Thies led the Pack to a dominant set one win, 25-21, against strong Big 12 opponents.
The Pack once again opened set two with strong play, going on a five-point run to lead 10-6, rolling that into a 15-13 lead at the media timeout. The Wildcats went on four and three-point runs deep in set two to come out on top, winning the set 25-20.
Kansas State put the Pack on the back foot early in set three, leading 15-12 at the media timeout off the back of three kills for both Addison Massey and Reese Resmer. Four kills and an ace from Thies got the Pack back in the set, down 19-18, before the Wildcats closed the set out 25-21.
Set four started off with back and forth play, with
Madison Long and
Ceren Sert leading the way for the Pack, tied at 6-6, before a six-point run from the Wildcats swung momentum their way. Strong play from Kansas State's attack led them to a fourth set win (25-15) and match win 3-2.

Nevada was paced offensively by
Paige Thies with 17 kills, while
Malia Pilimai added a career-high 12 kills and
Ceren Sert hit a team-best .583 with eight kills.
Adriana Dorn directed the offense with 36 assists and eight digs, and
Masyn Navarro led the back row with nine digs.
