EUGENE, Oregon – Nevada Softball ended the weekend at the Jane Sanders Classic with a 7-3 loss to No.18/18 Oregon.

 No.18 Oregon 7, Nevada 3
Nevada started the afternoon with a two-run home run from Hannah Di Genova to give the Pack an early lead.

The bottom of the first is where the Ducks took the lead, 5-2. By the end of the second, Oregon added another run on the board to push the lead, 6-2. The following three innings remained scoreless until Oregon was able to extend the lead to 7-2 in the bottom of the fifth.

Bailie Clark answered with a home run in the top of the seventh giving Nevada a push, but it wasn't enough for the Pack to come out with a win.

Hailey McLean opened the game but faced early pressure, allowing five runs on five hits in a brief outing. Tess Bumiller steadied the Pack through 2.1 innings while allowing seven hits and limiting the Ducks to a single earned run.

Sofie Seese followed giving up just two hits and one run across 2.1 innings on only 29 pitches. Ainsley Berlingeri closed the game with retiring all four batters she faced in 1.1 hitless, scoreless innings.

Nevada will now turn its attention to its conference opener and home opener against Boise State from March 13-15 at Christina M. Hixon Park.
