This Week In Wolf Pack Athletics

RENO, Nev. - Two Wolf Pack swimmers compete at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, and Men's Basketball hosts NIT action at Lawlor to highlight this week's action for Nevada Athletics.

Scarlett Ferris and Moji Pholjamjumrus begin competition at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday in Atlanta. Ferris will compete in three events, the 100 back, 100 fly, and 100 free, while Pholjamjumrus will compete in the 400 IM and 200 fly.

Men's Basketball earned a bid to the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and will host Murray State Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Lawlor.

Baseball, fresh off a road sweep of Fresno State, hosts four games this week beginning with non-conference action Tuesday against Fresno Pacific before hosting Air Force for a three-game series at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park. Women's Tennis hosts its first Mountain West matches at McArthur Tennis Center, taking on Wyoming and Colorado State Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Softball travels to Pacific for a Tuesday afternoon contest before continuing Mountain West play over the weekend at Utah State. Men's Tennis opens Mountain West action at Boise State and Utah State, and Outdoor Track & Field travels to Berkeley for the Cal Invitational.

Nevada swimmers, Scarlett Ferris and Moji Pholjamjumrus head to Atlanta, Georgia to compete at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. This is a chance to represent the Univeristy of Nevada on a national stage.

Nevada Men's Basketball received a bid to the National Invitational Tournament Sunday night, and, as the No. 2 seed in the Auburn Regional, will open play at Lawlor Wednesday night against Murray State.

Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ and tip off at 7 p.m. Should Nevada win and advance, it would host a second-round contest either Saturday or Sunday.

Nevada begins a five-game home stand Tuesday, hosting Fresno Pacific for a 3:05 p.m. contest. The Wolf Pack will continue Mountain West play beginning Friday, hosting Air Force in a three-game series. The home stand comes to an end next Tuesday, March 24, against San Francisco.

The Wolf Pack swept Fresno State on the road for the first time since 2021 and for just the second time ever in a three-game road series. Nevada has won eight of its last nine heading into this week, with the sweep of the Bulldogs getting the Pack out to an unbeaten start to conference play. This weekend the Pack will host the Falcons, the only other team to get an opening-weekend sweep last weekend.

Fresh off of a second place team finish at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, Nevada Track and Field are set to open their outdoor season at the Cal Invitational in Berkeley, California, Saturday, March 21st. This will be the first of ten regular season outdoor meets. The Pack's outdoor efforts will be led by Lilly Urban, 2025 Second Team All-American in Javelin.

Women's Tennis returns home after falling in both opening conference matches at Air Force and New Mexico. Nevada will now host its first round of Mountain West matches of the season this weekend. On Friday, the Pack will host Wyoming at 12 p.m., followed by Colorado State on Sunday at the same time.
