This Week In Wolf Pack Athletics

RENO, Nev. - Nevada Women's Basketball is home for two games and Indoor Track & Field hosts its final regular-season meet this week.

Wolf Pack Men's Basketball has a bye midweek before resuming its chase for the Mountain West regular-season title when it visits San Diego State Saturday at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

In other action, Women's Golf opens the spring portion of its schedule with match play at the 2026 Mountain Classic in Palm Desert, and Softball heads to Arizona for five games in Tempe.

Nevada gets a midweek bye before a pivotal meeting at San Diego State Saturday night. The Wolf Pack, tied for third in the conference standings and fighting not only for a Mountain West title but also a first-round bye at the Mountain West Tournament with seven games remaining, takes on the Aztecs at 7 p.m. in a nationally-televised contest on CBS Sports Network.

Corey Camper Jr. and the Wolf Pack are coming off a split week, dropping a tense 91-87 overtime decision at Boise State last Tuesday before rebounding for a 69-59 home win over Fresno State.

Nevada Women's Basketball hosts a pair of contests this week at Lawlor Events Center beginning Wednesday night against Air Force. Tipoff for the contest is set for 6:30 p.m. The Wolf Pack then hosts conference-leading San Diego State Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Wolf Pack is looking to end its seven-game skid and fight for favorable positioning at March's Mountain West Tournament with seven regular-season games remaining.

Defending Mountain West champion Nevada begins its 2026 campaign at Ole Miss February 13-15. The Wolf Pack comes into the new season on the heels of numerous preseason accolades, including being voted as the favorite to repeat as conference champions in 2026. Nevada had a conference-best five players named to the 2026 Preseason All-Mountain West Team: reigning Freshman of the Year Sean Yamaguchi, LHP Alessandro Castro, utility Jayce Dobie, catcher Jake Harvey, and infielder Junhyuk Kwon.

This weekend's action in Oxford will be streamed on SEC Network+ with Friday's opener set for a 2 p.m. PT first pitch, and Saturday and Sunday's games each set for 11 a.m. PT.

Nevada Softball, coming off a 3-2 opening weekend in Baton Rouge, heads to the desert this weekend for the Littlewood Invitational in Tempe, Arizona.

The Wolf Pack opens weekend play with two on Friday, taking on Portland State at 11:45 a.m. PT before facing host Arizona State at 5:15 p.m. PT. Two more games await Saturday, as Nevada faces Indiana at 9 a.m. PT and closes the day against Pacific at 2:30 p.m. PT. The weekend wraps with a 9 a.m. PT game against Indiana Sunday.

Freshman Katie Wetteland was named Mountain West Co-Freshman of the Week after hitting two home runs and driving in a team-leading six runs over the weekend in Louisiana. Pitcher Hailey McLean threw a shutout in the opening win over Illinois, an 8-0, five-inning victory.

Women's Indoor Track & Field hosts its final regular-season meet of the campaign as the BattleBorn Classic takes place Friday and Saturday from the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

While the meet is the last one of the regular season, the Wolf Pack will remain home, hosting the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 26-28.

Nevada Women's Golf will open their season in Palm Desert, California at the 2026 Mountain Classic Match Play, Monday through Wednesday, February 9-11. 

The Pack have a great history at the Mountain Classic Match Play, winning the event in their historic 2022-23 season where they won three times, matching the single season team win record. The eight team field will include Boise State, Wyoming, Montana State, Utah Valley, Gonzaga, Washington State and Weber State.

Nevada Women's Tennis continues its campaign after a week off, traveling to Santa Clara and UC Davis for a pair of duals.

The Wolf Pack, on a two-match winning streak, faces Santa Clara Thursday at 11 a.m., with first serve for Saturday's match in Davis also set for 11 a.m.
