Baton Rouge, La. – Nevada Softball continued its weekend at the Tiger Classic with a gritty 1-0 victory over NC State before battling host No. 16/13 LSU in a competitive afternoon matchup on Saturday in Baton Rouge.
The Wolf Pack now turn their attention to the final day of the tournament, where it will face Lamar on Sunday, February 8 at 8 a.m. PT.

Nevada opened day two with a tightly contested defensive showdown, securing a 1-0 win behind timely hitting and steady execution on both sides of the ball. The Pack broke through in the bottom of the third when
Hannah Di Genova roped a double into center field, allowing
Saige Alfaro to race home for the game's lone run. Nevada protected that advantage the rest of the way, holding NC State scoreless to earn its second win of the tournament.
In the circle, Ainsley Belingeri earned the win after delivering a composed performance, allowing just two hits and recording two strikeouts to keep NC State off the board.
Talia Tretton closed out the final three innings to secure the save, sealing Nevada's shutout victory and completing a strong team effort.
